Top Ten Thursday: Motivation

I'm not lazy, I'm just highly motivated to do nothing.
This week's top ten is things to help us get motivated to do whatever it takes in order to achieve our goals. I don't really do anything to motivate myself but here's a few things that might be considered motivating:

01/ Eat something — you know what they say, you can't worry/panic on an empty stomach and you certainly can't do anything when your mind is on food

02/ Listen to music — it's not much as for motivation as to clear your head and fill it with fluffy/cheesy/silly songs so you would not think about how unproductive you are right now

03/ Read a book — perhaps reading other people actually doing something will make you want to do something?

04/ Watch television — watching tv can be a bit lazy and you will probably end up watching more tv, but sometimes watching tv can motivate you to think on your problems/tasks that you have to do

05/ Do anything other than what you should be doing — Often I seem to do things other than what I should be doing. I guess my brain just don't quite have the motivation yet and so, it makes me want to do non-productive things which I think it helps a little because you can't just sit around waiting for motivation to hit you

So it's not ten. Frankly, I would be just listing more things that mostly just allow your laziness to thrive instead of stopping it.

What about you? What do you do to motivate yourself?

    1. yes, this list is really rather for people's creative side as I often put off finishing my creative works.

thanks for your visit, have a lovely day.

  3. I agree totally with your list and end up doing all of them. Reading is probably my biggest downfall when I'm trying to be motivated as I find it really hard to put a good book down.

    1. yes, me too with books, sometimes you just got to finish reading even if it meant putting a lot of things off.

thanks for your visit, have a lovely day.

  4. Lissa, you are too funny! And the funny thing is that you are totally serious in your ennui! No 1 states to "Eat something — you know what they say, you can't worry/panic on an empty stomach... " So, doesn't that then mean if I don;t want to worry, I should continue NOT to eat anything? :)

TV is my reward when everything I needed to do is done. There is no way I can watch it if I have something hanging over my head! As it is,due to our new rental which came with a TV, we have one but it does not have proper cable but is hooked into the internet so we can download shows or movies when wanted. We usually end up watching a ghost hunting show when all is said and done!

Hope this list motivated you? For me, deadlines do wonder as I never like to let others down when they are truly counting on me. Well, at least that works for my professional work! :)

Music sometimes motivates me a bit more but I always have to be somewhat motivated beforehand or for me, I find it distracting! Thus, I rarely ever play music! Haha.

Number 3 made me chuckle! Rather like reading this list for motivation!

    1. for #1 - I don't think I thought that through, haha, worrying goes take away your energy, so I figure, why not eat soemthing?

I was serious when I wrote this but now reading it again, I might be just a lazy because this list is pretty lazy.

yes, deadlines are real motivators, without them, I wouldn't really finish much.

I find the only time I ever get distracted by music is when I'm writing, other than that, I like listening to music while I do work.

thanks for dropping by, have a lovely day.
